Inside the September Women Listed Business Lounge: Making Stronger Business Conversations

September 24, 2026

What makes a customer choose your business over another? And can you communicate that difference clearly enough to get their attention?

These questions set the tone for the September edition of the Women Listed Monthly Business Lounge, held on 23rd September 2026 at Udman Hotel, Gurugram. The meet brought together women entrepreneurs and professionals for practical learning, 60-second business pitches and conversations that went beyond introductions.

The Expert Mini-Session: Why Should a Customer Choose You?

The highlight of the morning was an interactive session with Disha Brara, Founder of SalesDish, who addressed a challenge many entrepreneurs face: knowing their business inside out but struggling to communicate its value to potential customers.

Disha took founders through understanding their target audience, identifying what their customers actually care about and recognising what makes their businesses different.

At the centre of the session was a practical breakdown of how a founder's pitch should be structured, whether spoken or written. Disha introduced four essentials that can help make a business pitch more relevant, capture attention and lead to meaningful sales conversations.

Through group exercises, real-world examples and hands-on practice, attendees examined how they present their businesses and how potential customers might perceive their offerings.

The session reinforced an important lesson: a strong business pitch isn't about explaining everything you do. It's about giving the right person a reason to continue the conversation.

Putting the Learning Into Practice: 60-Second Pitches

Following Disha's session, the Business Lounge moved into its signature 60-second elevator pitch format.

Each woman introduced herself, explained her business and shared what she was looking for, whether potential customers, collaborators, suppliers or useful connections.

Having just explored how to communicate their business value more effectively, participants now had the opportunity to put that thinking into practice while discovering what other women in the room were building.

Beyond the Pitches: Conversations That Matter

The introductions opened the door to more informal conversations, giving attendees an opportunity to explore each other's businesses, exchange contacts and identify possible collaborations.

The mix of industries added another dimension. Entrepreneurs working in entirely different sectors discovered opportunities to learn from one another, discuss shared challenges and explore connections they might otherwise never have made.

These conversations are an essential part of the Business Lounge experience. A pitch creates the introduction, but what follows can turn that introduction into a useful business relationship.

Why the Women Listed Business Lounge Is More Than a Networking Meet

At Women Listed, we deliberately keep our monthly Business Lounge meets small and intimate. The intention is for attendees to leave remembering the people they met, the businesses they discovered and the conversations they want to continue, rather than simply collecting business cards.

Each edition combines practical learning around a real business challenge with opportunities to introduce your work, gain visibility and connect with other founders. It is about creating a space where women-led businesses aren't simply introduced, but heard, understood and remembered.

The Women Listed Business Lounge is all about Pitch & Connect for Visibility. Explore our upcoming events  and join us at the next meet.
