From a Two-Person Setup to a Full-Stack Agency: Mallika Tomar's REVAMP Journey

October 23, 2026

Digital visibility can look like growth long before it becomes growth. A campaign can travel, a reel can collect views and a brand can post every day without becoming clearer, more trusted or more commercially effective. Mallika Tomar, Co-Founder and Marketing Head of REVAMP, has spent much of her entrepreneurial journey trying to close that gap between attention and business impact.

Mallika co-founded REVAMP in 2019 after working across marketing and brand environments that included Adidas, Future Group and Karix. She was also building her own perspective as a content creator, which meant she saw digital communication from both sides: what brands wanted audiences to notice, and what audiences actually chose to engage with. That combination became important as she began shaping REVAMP from a small digital-marketing setup into a broader growth and communications business.

Seeing the Gap Between Attention and Business Impact

Mallika did not begin with the idea that every client needed more content. The more useful question was what the business needed the content to do. For one brand, the priority might be awareness; for another, leads, participation, conversions or a clearer identity. That shift—from channel execution to business objective—became one of the foundations of how she approached the agency.

The early years were less about scale and more about credibility. Mallika says the team took on smaller mandates, stayed close to clients and allowed repeat work and referrals to build confidence before expanding the organisation. One of her more consequential decisions was resisting the temptation to add people, offices and overhead simply because revenue was beginning to grow; she wanted delivery capability to catch up before the agency looked larger from the outside.

That restraint appears to have become commercially useful. Figures shared with Women Listed in 2026 placed REVAMP in the ₹1–5 crore revenue range, with 25–100% year-on-year growth, while Mallika estimated that close to 70% of its clientele came through retained or repeat relationships. Those numbers are founder-reported, but the underlying signal matters: in a service business, the second and third mandate often say more about trust than the first pitch. For Mallika, that also reinforced a preference for depth over a constant chase for new logos; a retained client gives the team more context, more accountability and a clearer view of whether the work is actually compounding.

What Creating Content Taught Her About Marketing

Mallika’s creator-side experience gave her another advantage that was difficult to learn from a dashboard. She could see how quickly audiences recognised forced promotion, how often polished content failed because it gave people no reason to care, and how differently a creator could perform when she understood the idea rather than simply receiving a brief. Over time, that changed how Mallika thought about influencer and creator marketing.

Instead of treating creators as the final distribution layer after the campaign had already been designed, she began bringing creator behaviour into the strategy itself. The goal was not to make every campaign look informal; it was to understand the language, context and degree of control that would make a message feel credible in the environment where people would actually encounter it. That perspective helped Mallika move from asking, ‘What should we post?’ towards ‘What will make the audience act, remember or trust?’

As client problems widened, so did the business she was building. REVAMP now works across brand and content strategy, performance marketing, creator campaigns, PR, websites, CRM and lead-management systems, and AI-led automation. The expansion is important not because it creates a longer service list, but because Mallika increasingly sees growth problems as connected: visibility, demand generation, customer journeys and internal marketing systems cannot always be solved in separate boxes.

From Founder Judgement to a Team That Can Carry It

That broader model has forced Mallika to change as a founder. In the beginning, personal involvement was an advantage; she could stay close to every decision and use her own judgement to set the standard. As the team and client base grew, the same habit risked becoming a bottleneck. Mallika had to learn that leadership did not require her to have every answer, and that people did better work when they were trusted with real ownership rather than waiting for founder approval at every step.

The transition from doer to leader is still in progress. REVAMP reports having worked with more than 80 brands, including Amazon, Titan, HILTI, Urban Company and NITI Aayog. In one long-running Amazon Future Engineer engagement, the agency reports more than 600,000 website sessions, 17,800 leads and 3,000 quality applications through a mix of performance marketing, regional storytelling and creator collaborations. Those are agency-reported results, but they show the kind of outcome Mallika wants visibility to be accountable to rather than treating reach as the end point.

For Mallika, the next stage is therefore as much organisational as creative. She is building a business in which strategy, creator instinct, performance data and increasingly AI-enabled systems can work together without every solution originating with her personally. That requires hiring people who can challenge her judgement rather than simply execute it, and giving them enough context to make decisions without waiting for approval. The harder task is preserving the responsiveness of a founder-led agency while creating enough method and ownership for the company to grow beyond the founder.

Building Visibility That Has to Earn Its Place

On 25 July 2026, Mallika received the Digital Visibility Trailblazer Award at Women Listed The Excellence Awards 5th Edition at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi. The recognition fits her journey best when visibility is understood not as being present everywhere, but as making a brand easier to understand, discover and act on. That is also why the award sits naturally within the story rather than becoming the story itself.

Mallika is now building towards more international work, creator-led campaigns and stronger digital and AI systems, while also thinking about how younger marketers and creators can learn the craft more systematically. The challenge is familiar to many service founders: scale the organisation without allowing the work to become generic, and build systems without losing the judgement and proximity that created trust in the first place.

Her entrepreneurial journey is still unfolding. Creator intuition opened one door; client work taught her what businesses were actually buying; leadership is now asking her to turn that accumulated judgement into something a team can carry. Discover Mallika Tomar and REVAMP on Women Listed.
