Pilates with Purpose: How Kitty Kalra Transforms Lives Holistically as a Fitness Expert

December 13, 2024

For some their life path comes naturally, something they were drawn to early on, or they trained for, or learned. For others, it is often their life struggles that leads them to discover their mission. The latter is how Kitty Kalra stumbled into the world of Pilates and became a fitness expert and a life coach. Her journey into the fitness industry began not merely as a professional choice but as a personal mission to overcome struggles and help others do the same.

What Made Kitty Kalra turn towards Fitness

Kitty Kalra’s journey into the world of fitness and Pilates started out of a personal struggle. At the age of 28, Kitty suffered a spinal fracture due to a car crash. She was told by the doctors that she might not be able to walk again. During this tough time, it was Kitty determination and resilience that led her towards creating a healthy fitness routine for herself. This led her to get back on her feet (literally and metaphorically!) that even surprised her doctors. It was not just a fitness routine but a Pilates training programme that helped her.

Slowly, Kitty Kalra started learning new fitness workouts and decided to share her learnings with other people, especially those with health limitations. She started her journey as a fitness expert in 2013, and is not just a trainer, but also a health and life coach.

What all Kitty Offers: Fitness Meets Empowerment

Kitty is a STOTT certified Pilates instructor, and is also trained in Zumba, Doonya and REHABFx. What sets her apart is her multidimensional approach to fitness. As a STOTT-certified Pilates instructor, she makes personalized programs to address unique needs, such as injury recovery, improving posture, and enhancing flexibility. She is also always working on creating more awareness around Pilates as a workout option that helps you strengthen your core, build better balance, and keep your body in shape. As a Celebrity Fitness Trainer, her clientele includes personalities such as Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi.

You can connect with her through her social media, where she frequently shares her workout tips, allowing a broader audience to benefit from her expertise. Her training and workout tips on Instagram are easy to follow and can be done at any corner of your home itself. She always shares in-depth about the exercises, their benefits, how many sets one should do, and how the movement affects your body. Other than fitness content, Kitty also shares healthy recipes and motivational posts on her social media.

What sets Kitty Kalra apart and her achievements

Fitness Expert, Kitty Kalra’s mission extends beyond physical fitness. She strongly feels that Pilates made her physically and mentally strong, and this is what she wants her clients and students to discover. So as a life coach, she ensures that she integrates mindfulness, emotional resilience, and positivity into her sessions.

As a life coach, Kitty works to motivate and guide individuals not only to achieve their fitness goals but also to unlock their potential in various aspects of life. And she is also created an engaging community for fitness enthusiasts through her social media platforms, where she is actively sharing workouts, recipes, and motivational messages that resonate with people of all ages.

For her passion and contribution towards her field, she has received a number of awards, including Bharat Nirman award, the AsiaSpa Wellfest 2018 Fit and Fabulous award, and the Wellness Award at the Delhiites Lifestyle Awards 2021. She has even featured on NDTVGoodtimes, Corks RedFM 104-106 , and has been a Fitness Anchor on Disney+ Hotstar.

Kitty Kalra’s life and work exemplify how personal struggles can be transformed into a mission to inspire and empower others. You can follow Kitty Kalra on Instagram to access her workout tips, fitness guidance, and motivational content. She also engages with her audience through workshops, virtual sessions, and fitness challenges, ensuring accessibility to her coaching regardless of location.
