Parenting tips : In words of Lahar Bhatnagar

June 29, 2022

Lahar Bhatnagar Singh is a millennial parenting coach, international author, and blogger. She is a certified parenting coach from the International Association of Certified Coaches, USA. Has some great international papers and research to her name in parenting. Because of her training in science and research, her parenting models and workshops are all based on scientifically relevant and viable models. Her book ‘100 ways to be a stressfree mom and raise happy kids’ works as a Holy Grail for her readers and clients. How hard we try we will be unable to justify summarising her book, still, We made efforts to sample a few parenting tips she swore by :

1. Decide to be happy

A happy parent makes a happy child. Consciously choose to be happy. Happiness is not a state forced upon anybody externally, it is an internal choice we need to make every day.

2. Prioritise your Chores

The parameters for prioritizing anything should be in the order of- HAppiness, and convenience urgency.

3. Don't be an adult all the time

Be a kid to your kid. There is no harm in letting yourself loose and playing like a child at times. it's a great stressbuster.

4. Your Husband is not just a Sperm donor

Parenting becomes easier and more fun when partners support each other in everyday chores and parenting responsibilities. Seek help.

5. Keep it Real

Unreal expectations create frustration when left unfulfilled. Be true to yourself and your kid when it comes to raising responsible kids.

6. Listen to Your Kid

We often tend to ignore what our child wants to convey to us. Listen to your child and respect her opinion. they learn what they experience.
