Cancer is one of the most life-threatening diseases, profoundly impacting a person’s physical health, emotional well-being, and overall quality of life. However, some individuals like Anchal Sharma have accepted and fought it with unwavering resilience and helped those battling Cancer. Anchal Sharma founded CANHEAL LLP, a platform that supports cancer patients, inspiring them to live life to the fullest. She also helps countless underprivileged kids with her charitable trust ‘Meals of Happiness’ by providing them free daily meals.
Battling Breast Cancer: Anchal’s Unyielding Spirit And Triumphs
From the very beginning, Anchal Sharma has been a true fighter. Life has thrown numerous challenges and hurdles her way, including a lack of finances, multiple abuses from in-laws, business losses, and the tragic death of her sister, yet she faced them all strongly.
After facing so many days of hardships, in 2017, Anchal was happy and excited as her brother was getting married, but then one more challenge stepped into her life. Anchal began to feel pain and swelling in her left arm. Initially, she ignored the discomfort, but later, the pain became unbearable, and she started passing out too often, prompting her to visit the doctor. During her visit, she was diagnosed with third-stage breast cancer. For a very long time, she didn’t disclose the news of her Cancer diagnosis to her family as everyone was happy and busy preparing for the upcoming wedding, and she didn’t want to make them sad because of her.
Diagnosed with breast cancer, Anchal faced a tough battle. Her relatives distanced themselves, and friends abandoned her, making her health struggle harder. Handling both the physical and emotional weight of her illness was difficult for her, but she didn’t lose hope. In the third stage of Cancer, a point where even protagonists often give up in many stories, she emerged stronger and fought for her life.
Undergoing long-term treatment, including chemotherapy sessions and numerous surgeries, she not only focused on her own healing but also supported other cancer patients in the hospital. She lightened their spirits by interacting with them, sharing jokes, and engaging in exciting conversations.
Meals Of Happiness: Anchal’s Compassionate Outreach To Underprivileged Children
After one week, she was diagnosed with Breast Cancer; during her visit to the doctor, she saw a few kids begging at the roadside. Instead of giving them money, she offered them food. She took them to a nearby eatery, but the owner refused to serve them. This incident disheartened her, and she decided to support underprivileged and slum children by feeding them. With the help of her family, she began distributing five to six meal boxes of home-cooked food to slum areas.
And soon, she established her charitable trust, “Meals of Happiness” (MOH). She offers free meals to underprivileged children daily in Delhi and Gurugram through this initiative. Besides providing meals to underprivileged kids, MOH also addresses the issue of malnutrition by supplying milk. Additionally, her charity raises donations to cover the medical expenses of slum dwellers.
Meals Of Happiness (MOH) did a great job nationally during the 2020 COVID lockdown. It established a distribution system that ensured the delivery of 2,000,000 meals and 10,000 ration kits to slums across Delhi, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, Jammu & Kashmir, Andaman & Nicobar, and Madhya Pradesh. They maintained high quality and timely delivery without compromise.
Anchal received more than 25 awards from respected organizations like Femina, 92.7 BIG FM, the World Peace Committee, Max Hospital, Andaman & Nicobar UT, Sattva Nation, and others. She has also been featured in major national newspapers for her contribution to slum dwellers and migrants.
CanHeal: Anchal’s Vision For Empowering Cancer Fighters
As a Cancer survivor and learning from her own hardships and experiences, she launched a startup called “CanHeal” in 2020, an initiative aimed at providing resources, products, and support to those battling Cancer. She believes that Cancer isn’t a one-time battle; it is a prolonged struggle that can only be overcome through holistic, healthy living. With a substantial team comprising medical practitioners, therapists, and activity professionals, “CanHeal” helps Cancer patients navigate their journey toward recovery by providing comprehensive support beyond mere medical treatment.
It serves as a platform where individuals battling Cancer can connect with fellow fighters and experts, exchanging and learning from each other’s journeys. Anchal stands as an inspiration to countless cancer fighters. Her mission is to live to the fullest and perpetually inspire others to do the same.
