When Passion For Dancing Becomes A Career

December 21, 2022

Priyanka Swarup, a mother of two boys, holds a Bachelor of Philosophy from Lady Shri Ram College and a Master of Fashion Communication from NIFT. Priyanka is a woman with many talents who performs Bharatnatyam, folk dance and choreographs. Her divine spiritual connection with dance can be seen in all her dance performances on various platforms all over the world. She says this keeps her grounded and motivated through her life's vicissitudes.

About her work

Since she started teaching dance 17 years ago, she has been able to successfully train adults and kids. Teaching over 100 differently-abled children at an NGO for the Commonwealth Games has been one of her many highlights.

An entrepreneur herself, she is running a photo-based App called FlicBook. Creativity and other art forms are an obsession with Priyanka, which has also led her to develop a keen interest in playing the Piano. She has performed at several concerts till date.

As someone with the privilege of spending four decades experiencing dance in many forms and teaching others. Priyanka can easily say without hesitation that - “There is not a single life, which cannot be lifted, enhanced, and empowered by the simplest exposure to dance.”

Her Mantra for success

She is a firm believer of - “LIFE ISN’T ABOUT WAITING FOR THE STORM TO PASS BUT INSTEAD, LEARNING TO DANCE IN THE RAIN!”

Check out her profile on Women Listed if you are keen to learn more about her. Or want to be her student.
