We at women listed would like to celebrate and appreciate every woman who has chosen a career in photography and has inspired many young women to do the same. Henceforth, we bring five outstanding women photographers who have made a significant impression in photography and photojournalism and are a great inspiration to others.
PRERNA NAINWAL
Nainwal hails from Nainital, Uttarakhand. She graduated from Delhi University and then relocated to Mumbai to pursue her passion for fashion photography. Her keen interest in the fashion industry helped her develop a unique signature style quickly. Working with many big fashion and lifestyle brands and experimenting with various creative concepts, artistic styles, and movements, especially expressionism, took her to the zenith of the photography industry.
CHEENA KAPOOR
Kapoor a Delhi-based photographer, photographs India's red-light areas and mental asylums. She has spent time as a photojournalist with women engaged in commercial surrogacy and young female drug users, some of whom are as young as five. She shares their experiences with people who would otherwise never see this side of the world.
NISHAT FATIMA
Fatima is a Hyderabad-based female photographer and writer. She wrote the fashion book Suneet Varma and the novel Seriously, Sitara. Her work has appeared in several magazines.
DEEPTI ASTHANA
Asthana is a self-taught documentary photographer based in Mumbai. She focuses on women's stories under the banner program "Women of India." This brings to light experiences that have been obscured for a long time.
Chetana Bhat
Though she claims that photography just happened to her like all other nice things, we believe she has a fantastic ability to catch life in a manner that we cannot.
Chetana is a brilliant artist who loves to redefine romance, pleasure, intimacy, grief, and much more. She has redefined the concept of wedding photography in a brief period.
