Leadership strategies for women-Women Listed

November 24, 2022

History is filled with examples of women struggling to find acceptance in the workplace because of stereotypes. Society has a different set of expectations of women. They perceive women as just for domestic chores and raising kids. However, times have changed and women have made their mark in every field. From being a caregiver at home to running a multinational company like Pepsi. co, females have thrown their hats in the ring and outshined in whatever they decide to do.

Women in the workplace are getting more acceptance. But gender-gap in leadership roles is still significant.

However, With liberalization and various economic reforms in the country, more Women leaders are gradually closing the gender gap in this so-called male-led society.

Leadership strategies for women.

  1. Build credibility.

Take credit for your accomplishments. One trait that mostly all women have is modesty—not drawing attention to their attainments. This is a losing battle strategy. Inhabiting your accomplishments and stepping into power will always get you noticed, regardless of gender.

  1. Communicate with conviction and power
Effective communication is one common trait of all great leaders. Hence, to succeed you should be able to communicate with conviction and power. Always remember the rule of the three C's - Concise, clear, and confident. If you want people to listen to you, keep it simple. Leaders know what they are talking about, and they convey it concisely and precisely.

  3. Have an Executive presence
Women with confidence and intellect are always taken seriously. Enter the room with a purpose. Always be a part of discussions in meetings and conferences. This will make you stand out from the crowd who are just a part of the audience.

  4. Engage
Great leaders often have meaningful stories to share. This works as an ice breaker to connect with others and pitch the important points you want to convey. Personal engagement with people often gives a sense of security and comfort.

And who doesn't want to have a leader equally bothered about your issues and concerns?
